Grant to a Wisconsin tribal entity to address juvenile justice concerns and prevent delinquency among local children and youth. Applicants must complete the required registrations prior to applying. Funding is intended for new and established programs that reflect the needs of the applicant community and benefit Native American and Alaska Native youth, ages 10-16 years old.
Programs should reflect the needs of the applicant community and could include mentoring programs, community-based alternatives to detention, mental health and substance abuse services, family-strengthening support and therapy, afterschool programs that provide educational, recreational, or employment activities, and others.
Funding may be/must be used for Personnel, Employee Benefits, Travel/Training, Supplies and Operating Expenses, and Consultants/Contractual.
Applicants are also encouraged to incorporate the following focus areas into their programs:
